All Developers: Report In

Submitted by Matt Turner on Fri, 2007-06-22 22:00.

All Developers who have been given Beta Access need to report in. This can be done via the IRC channel (#skyos on Freenode) or my sending an email to me at You should detail what you've been working on. If you are not active on the forums, specify the reason.

If I haven't heard from you in 48 hours, your Beta Forum access will be revoked.

Submitted by Peter Speybrouck on Wed, 2007-06-06 23:48.

As some of you may know, I have been working a little on accessing skyfs (and bfs) partitions in windows.
Now that I finally have something visually pleasing to show you, here it is:

This windows application is able to read the contents of skyfs and bfs partitions.

The first official Dev meeting on IRC has ended.
A log can be found here.

Summary of what has been talked about (talked, no guarantees ;)
* updated crosscompiler environment available
* the new C++ api is taking shape but still under heavy development
* A new beta is being prepared and may be expected in a few weeks.

Changelog updated. Closing in on a beta release.

I've gathered some information on the alpha forum and also received some more information from Robert and finally updated the changelog. Before you all scream - no, I'm not usually responsible for updating it, honestly! :]

Poll Explanation: Home Media Center

Submitted by Kelly on Tue, 2007-02-06 19:52.

I'm hoping this one is pretty self-explanatory, but basically, what type of home media center do you currently attach to your TV, to connect either wired or wirelessly to your main computer (or directly to the Internet) for the purposes of media acquisition, streaming, or playback? Examples could include:

- Apple TV
- XBox 360
- XBox with XBMC
- Computer with Windows Media Center Edition
- Computer with other media center software (or no software, maybe)
- Other stand-alone system (Linksys has one, there are a few others)
- Etc.
