SkyOS and System.Windows.Forms

The first C# application using System.Windows.Forms developed in and for SkyOS:

Mono 1.1.13 has been ported to SkyOS.

All mono assemblies for .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 are ported as well. Porting Managed.Windows.Forms has begun and is almost finished (screenshots coming soon).

New website, Updates and Video

As you can see, the website has been completely re-designed. A big thanks goes to Karol Orzel for his beautiful design, and to Tom for creating the theme and necessary CSS files. We hope you enjoy the new site!

Furthermore, a new video is available showing the proof-of-concept work on the "Media Station". Another proof-of-concept deals with password protected files and folders.

Darkness has his initial version of the Software Store Server script working, which can be used to set up your personal software store, allowing you to distribute your applications to other SkyOS users.

VNC Client and Translations

Lukas Linemayr developed a VNC Viewer which will finally make it possible to remote control other system running Operating Systems like SkyOS, Windows, Linux, MacOS and others. In combination with the SkyOS File and Folder Sharing you can new easily administrate and use other systems.

Furthermore, the translation team was really busy recently. Core components like the GUI Dialogs, Installation, Desktop, etc. are now available in 21 languages, including: Afrikaans, Arabic, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Estonian, French, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (BR), Russian, Swedish, Tagalog, and Turkish.
